Where did I come from?

Have you ever asked yourself, “Where did I come from?” More accurately, have you ever wondered about your ancestry? With two popular TV shows, namely “Faces of America with Henry Louis Gates” on PBS and “Who Do You Think You Are?” on NBC, more people are asking themselves those questions.

The Dracut Library would like to help you answer those questions. To begin, go to the Dracut Library homepage.  In the left hand column, you will see a link called ‘Genealogy’. From there you will be able to access Ancestry.com and HeritageQuestonline.com.

The Dracut Library subscribes to Ancestry.com on a yearly basis for use by our patrons. Ancestry is available free to those who wish to use it, however you must use it within the library.  Heritage Quest is also available free of charge but it may be used both in the library and from home. So stop wondering, start knowing – you may be surprised to find out who you really are!!
